Transcribing recordings into Text?

Hello, all.

After creating notes on a book using my Victor Stream, which I believe records in the .wav format, I was wondering if there is possibly either a software tool that can transcribe audio without human intervention, and if not, what the price would be per recording? These are short recordings. I was going to transcribe them, but this seems laborious and time consuming. I will if need be, but wanted to check into alternative options first. Thanks for any assistance in advance.

You can kinda sorta do this on the Mac, if you have one of those, but you will still need to insert punctuation.

Scott,

All of my problems have been resolved via using FSReader from Freedom Scientific. Since most of my books are Daisy Text-Only, reading with a Braille Display is much simpler than utilizing VoiceDream in my opinion. Inserting bookmarks, even though sometimes they do not exactly put you in the position you wanted to be in, work almost 99% of the time. Already, I have 34 of them, and that will be growing. Also, using FSReader, one can select a certain amount of text and create notes this way. However, inserting bookmarks is most efficient. Thanks for your suggestions. Even though I am not using a recorder for note-taking purposes, I do have HT Recorder, an IPhone app. The quality is great, but still, I'd rather listen to it than transcribe the material. Since the speed can be adjusted and bookmarks can be created, the need to transcribe is virtually eliminated.
